When his Mom got a hold of me last minute to schedule their Edmonton newborn photo session I was excited because she was really easy going and open to anything, which makes it really fun for me as a photographer to be able to play around with some different setups.

This little guy was a dream, with a head full of hair, he just peacefully slept his entire newborn session and hardly made a sound. I decided to keep the color palette I used on him very earthy. The dark green I used for a bunch of the bean bag shots are some of my favorite, as it just made his skin glow and all of his features stand out.

I decided to try something different for the flokati pictures and used a mustard color (which I don’t typically use on baby boys) but it really ended up looking perfect on him.

The brown wrapped basket shots I went true to my style and styled them very rustic and the ones with the sleepy hat ended up being some of the cutest pictures of him.

For the last set I pulled out the grey bear bonnet and his Momma squealed at the cuteness. Who can resist a baby looking like a sweet little bear?

It was such a pleasure to photograph this sweet little guy and I’m so glad his parents got in touch with me and that I had a last minute availability.
